Holly Hunter was an American actor who was famous due to her roles in films Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. Holly Hunter has won numerous awards which included an Oscar for her role in the film Piano. She began her career acting as an actress both on Broadway as well as Off Broadway. Since her childhood she's been passionate about acting. She was Helen Keller as a fifth-grade student in a school play. The fifth grade was the year that after having mumps she lost hearing in her left ear. However, she did not let it stop her from performing. The college she attended was drama after which she moved from Pittsburgh to New York City to follow her dream. She met Beth Henley in an elevator and they collaborated in Broadway Crimes of the Heart the first movie Hunter made. As she relocated to Los Angeles, Hunter tried to find films to play. An supporting role was found for her in Swing Shift. In the three decades since then, Holly Hunter has been involved in numerous TV shows and movies. Holly Hunter won a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and also an award called the Women in Film Lucy Award.
